The story
Pliny wrote that it held the fire of one stone, the purple of another and the green of a third, all at the same time.
Sun Wukong turns up in a novel published around 1592 and has not left since. He learns immortality, then learns seventy-two transformations, then goes to the underworld and crosses his own name out of the register of the dead. When heaven tries to manage him with a job title, he reads the small print, works out the job is beneath him, and wrecks the place.
The Buddha stops him by betting he cannot jump out of a hand. He jumps to what he takes for the end of the universe, signs his name on a pillar there to prove it, and comes back to find he has written on a finger.
Five hundred years under a mountain for that.

Shen, the ninth earthly branch, is the double hour from three until five in the afternoon. Late enough that most people have stopped thinking properly, which is exactly when quick minds get noticed.
The monkey is gold, hanging off a pale silver branch with one hand, reaching for the opal on the far side of the circle.
The eye is a single red stone, and it is the only warm point in an otherwise cool piece. That is deliberate — it is the detail that stops the animal looking decorative and makes it look like it is planning something.
The metal is solid 925 sterling silver with gold plating on the monkey and the mount. Plating is a surface finish and it wears with time; the silver beneath it does not.

When would it get here?
It is posted to you directly from our maker, tracked and signed for — to the United Kingdom that is 5–10 days, usually within a week. The date in the buying panel above is the real latest date it should be with you; it moves forward every day and it is not a countdown put there to hurry you.
Is the silver solid, or is it plated?
Solid 925 sterling silver, all the way through. We never plate base metal and call it silver. This particular design carries a plated finish over that silver, which is why it looks the colour it looks. Plating is a surface and it wears; the silver under it does not.
Will my stone look exactly like the photograph?
Closely. Opal is made or treated rather than pulled out of the ground, which means it is far more consistent piece to piece than a natural stone would be. We say which it is on this page rather than leaving you to guess.
How is it worn?
As it comes. The measurements are visible in the photographs above, and the piece is described on the page in the same words we would use in person.
What if I change my mind, or it does not fit?
Fourteen days from the day it arrives to tell us, and a further fourteen to post it back — that is the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, and we do not try to write around it. Faulty or not as described is always our cost. The whole policy is here, in plain English.

The UK, the twenty-seven EU countries and Australia. To the UK the delivery is free on every order, tracked and signed for. If your country is not on the list at checkout, we cannot post there yet, and we would rather say so than take your money and find out.
Do I have to do the ThetaHealing part?
No. It is a ring, and it is a good ring on its own. The feeling download is written out above so you can read it, use it, or ignore it — nothing is charged for it and nothing is done without your say-so. Some people buy the piece for the stone and never think about the rest, and that is a completely ordinary way to own it.
