The story
Pliny wrote that it held the fire of one stone, the purple of another and the green of a third, all at the same time.
Jia — home, family, household. Written as a roof, and under the roof, a pig.
Not a hearth. Not a person. Not an ancestor. A pig, because a pig meant the household had more food than it needed today and could afford to keep some of it walking around until later. That is what security looked like, and the writing system fixed it in place before anyone thought to be embarrassed about it.
The pig comes twelfth. Last of the twelve, which people occasionally read as an insult and which is the opposite. The cycle ends on the animal that means there is enough, and then it starts again at the rat's midnight.

Hai, the twelfth earthly branch, is the double hour from nine until eleven at night. The end of the day, and the last hour before the whole thing begins again.
This pig has wings, and I nearly took them off.
I left them because the joke is old and it is not really a joke here. The sign is about receiving something — and receiving is the part most people are worse at than working. A pig with wings is a fair drawing of how unlikely that feels.
The eye is a single red stone. Black circle, gold animal, one small warm point.
The metal is solid 925 sterling silver. The gold is a plated finish over that silver and the dark sections are a black finish over the same silver — plating is a surface, it wears with time, the silver underneath does not.

The wing is the work. Every row of feathers is cut separately and it sits proud of the body, so there is no flat surface to rest a tool on.

When would it get here?
It is posted to you directly from our maker, tracked and signed for — to the United Kingdom that is 5–10 days, usually within a week. The date in the buying panel above is the real latest date it should be with you; it moves forward every day and it is not a countdown put there to hurry you.
Is the silver solid, or is it plated?
Solid 925 sterling silver, all the way through. We never plate base metal and call it silver. This particular design carries a plated finish over that silver, which is why it looks the colour it looks. Plating is a surface and it wears; the silver under it does not.
Will my stone look exactly like the photograph?
Closely. Opal is made or treated rather than pulled out of the ground, which means it is far more consistent piece to piece than a natural stone would be. We say which it is on this page rather than leaving you to guess.
How is it worn?
As it comes. The measurements are visible in the photographs above, and the piece is described on the page in the same words we would use in person.
What if I change my mind, or it does not fit?
Fourteen days from the day it arrives to tell us, and a further fourteen to post it back — that is the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, and we do not try to write around it. Faulty or not as described is always our cost. The whole policy is here, in plain English.
Do you post to where I live?
The UK, the twenty-seven EU countries and Australia. To the UK the delivery is free on every order, tracked and signed for. Europe and Australia are free too, apart from the smallest bracelets, where a small tracked postage is shown at checkout, before you pay — never added afterwards. If your country is not on the list at checkout, we cannot post there yet, and we would rather say so than take your money and find out.
Do I have to do the ThetaHealing part?
No. It is a ring, and it is a good ring on its own. The feeling download is written out above so you can read it, use it, or ignore it — nothing is charged for it and nothing is done without your say-so. Some people buy the piece for the stone and never think about the rest, and that is a completely ordinary way to own it.
Is any of this medical?
No, and we will not pretend otherwise. What you read here about stones is history and folklore, told as history and folklore with dates and sources. A ThetaHealing feeling download is a spoken intention, not a treatment. Nothing on this page treats, prevents or cures anything, and none of it replaces a doctor.
