The story
Named after the pomegranate — the oldest story there is about wanting something.
Open a Han dynasty tomb and you find a household in miniature. Model granaries, model wells, model watchtowers, model stoves. And dogs — glazed pottery dogs, collared, ears up, set beside the gate of a house nobody was going to live in again.
They were not toys and they were not ornaments. They were staff. The belief was practical to the point of being domestic: the dead go on keeping house, and a house without a dog at the gate is not a finished house.
Two thousand years later they come out of the ground still standing in the same position.
Han families were buried with pottery dogs so that somebody would still be watching the gate.
Xu, the eleventh earthly branch, is the double hour from seven until nine in the evening. The hour the door gets shut. Everyone is home or they are not coming.
The dog is gold and mid-stride, head up, and there are butterflies drifting through the circle around it. The opal is set plainly on the far side.
Butterflies with a guard dog is an odd pairing and it is the reason I like this one. Loyalty in the sign is not the same thing as being fixed in place. The dog is moving and it is still watching.
The metal is solid 925 sterling silver. The gold is a plated finish over that silver and the dark rim is a black finish over the same silver — plating is a surface, it wears with time, the silver underneath does not.
Posted to you tracked. 5–10 days to the UK.
The coat is cut in strand by strand across the whole body, which is what keeps it from reading as a generic animal at small size.
Worn for centuries as the sign of staying without being owned. Some people feel something when they put a sign on. Some don't. Either way it is an old idea and it is accurately made.

The stone is the anchor, not the treatment — the thing on your hand when the feeling has gone and you need to remember what you agreed to.
Before you ask
It is posted to you directly from our maker, tracked and signed for — to the United Kingdom that is 5–10 days, usually within a week. The date in the buying panel above is the real latest date it should be with you; it moves forward every day and it is not a countdown put there to hurry you.
Solid 925 sterling silver, all the way through. We never plate base metal and call it silver. This particular design carries a plated finish over that silver, which is why it looks the colour it looks. Plating is a surface and it wears; the silver under it does not.
No, and it should not. Garnet comes out of the ground, so colour, depth and inclusions differ from one to the next. The photographs show a real one, not a rendering — yours will be its own. If that difference would disappoint you, write to us before you order and we will tell you honestly how much variation this stone has.
As it comes. The measurements are visible in the photographs above, and the piece is described on the page in the same words we would use in person.
Fourteen days from the day it arrives to tell us, and a further fourteen to post it back — that is the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, and we do not try to write around it. Faulty or not as described is always our cost. The whole policy is here, in plain English.
The UK, the twenty-seven EU countries and Australia. To the UK the delivery is free on every order, tracked and signed for. Europe and Australia are free too, apart from the smallest bracelets, where a small tracked postage is shown at checkout, before you pay — never added afterwards. If your country is not on the list at checkout, we cannot post there yet, and we would rather say so than take your money and find out.
No. It is a ring, and it is a good ring on its own. The feeling download is written out above so you can read it, use it, or ignore it — nothing is charged for it and nothing is done without your say-so. Some people buy the piece for the stone and never think about the rest, and that is a completely ordinary way to own it.
No, and we will not pretend otherwise. What you read here about stones is history and folklore, told as history and folklore with dates and sources. A ThetaHealing feeling download is a spoken intention, not a treatment. Nothing on this page treats, prevents or cures anything, and none of it replaces a doctor.
Yes, and it gets a real answer from a person — before you buy, not after. Write to us here. If we do not know something about a piece, we will say we do not know rather than fill the gap.

Safe return
Roman travellers carried it. So did soldiers, and later anyone setting out on a road they were not sure of. The idea is not protection from harm — it is coming back.
Roman and medieval travel customThe pomegranate
Granatum. Break one open and the seeds are exactly this — dozens of small dark-red translucent things packed tight. Which puts it straight into Persephone’s six seeds: the thing you wanted, and the price, in the same hand.
Latin, and older than LatinThe only light
Rabbinic commentary on Genesis holds that the single light Noah had through the flood was a stone hung from the ceiling of the ark, glowing for a year while it rained. It is not in the text. It is what people decided the text needed.
Talmudic commentary, SanhedrinAll of the above is history and folklore, written down because it is real and it is interesting. It is not a claim about what the stone will do. Some people feel something. Some don’t. More in The Codex

Returns and refunds →Behind ASİ · Founder & ThetaHealer
I am a young entrepreneur and ThetaHealer. ASİ is where my love of jewellery meets my interest in intention, personal meaning and the stories we carry.
I am building a brand for people who want to feel a connection to what they wear. A stone, an animal or a small knot can become a reminder of something you choose for yourself.
ThetaHealing is part of my personal practice and the perspective I bring to ASİ. I see jewellery as a place for a personal intention: a quiet pause, a new beginning, or a promise to yourself. You decide what your piece means.
Stone meanings on this site are symbolic associations, not promised physical or psychological effects. Jewellery and spiritual practices do not replace healthcare.
