Year of the Tiger — Chinese Zodiac Necklace

The first month of the lunar year belongs to it.

Yin, the tiger's branch, is not just an hour — it is also the first month of the lunar calendar. The cycle starts counting the year in the tiger's month, which is a quieter honour than winning a race and a more durable one.

What it is carried for is nerve: the hours before dawn, when whatever is going to be done that day has not been done yet.

Is this your sign?

The Tiger years are 1962, 1974, 1986, 1998, 2010 and 2022.

But the zodiac year begins at Chinese New Year, not on 1 January, and that date moves between 21 January and 20 February. A birthday in January or the first half of February usually belongs to the animal before. The box on the product page does that sum for you.

Your own zodiac year

Every twelfth year is your own animal's year again — běnmìngnián. Traditionally it is the year people wear their own sign, and it is the usual reason one of these is bought as a gift. The next Tiger year is 2034.
