The animal that leaves a version of itself behind, on schedule.
A snake does not shed because something went wrong. It sheds because it has outgrown the skin, and it does it on a timetable. That is the whole reason this one is worth wearing: it is the sign of a change that was always going to happen.
Si is the double hour before noon, and the fixed element is fire.
The stone is different on this one
Eight of the twelve pendants are set with African opal. The Snake is not. It carries a natural Swiss blue topaz — colourless topaz, irradiated and heated to bring the blue up, which is standard across the trade, permanent, and disclosed here rather than in grey type at the bottom.
Is this your sign?
The Snake years are 1965, 1977, 1989, 2001, 2013 and 2025.
But the zodiac year begins at Chinese New Year, not on 1 January, and that date moves between 21 January and 20 February. A birthday in January or the first half of February usually belongs to the animal before. The box on the product page does that sum for you.

Your own zodiac year
Every twelfth year is your own animal's year again — běnmìngnián. Traditionally it is the year people wear their own sign. 2025 was the last Snake year; the next is 2037.
