Last in the cycle, and the one that takes what it is given.
Hai is the last double hour before midnight, and the pig is the twelfth animal — the end of the count, after which it starts again. It is the sign of plenty, and of being able to accept it, which turns out to be the harder half.
The pendant shows the pig winged, which is not a traditional attribute. It is the workshop's own reading, and we would rather say that than let you assume it is ancient.

The Pig years are 1971, 1983, 1995, 2007, 2019 and 2031.
But the zodiac year begins at Chinese New Year, not on 1 January, and that date moves between 21 January and 20 February. A birthday in January or the first half of February usually belongs to the animal before. The box on the product page does that sum for you.
