Year of the Horse — Chinese Zodiac Necklace

The branch that holds noon.

Wu is the double hour of 11:00 to 13:00, the top of the day, and the fixed element is fire. The horse is the only one of the twelve whose branch sits at the middle of the light rather than at either end of it. What it is carried for is direction — going somewhere, on purpose.

2026 is a Horse year, and not an ordinary one

It began on 17 February 2026 and it is a fire horse year, which comes round once in sixty. The last was 1966. The next is 2086.

Which means two things at once. If you were born in 1966, this is your sixtieth year and your own sign has come back round on the same element — a full sexagenary cycle, and traditionally a birthday that gets marked properly. And if you were born in any Horse year, 2026 is your běnmìngnián: the year people wear their own animal.

Is this your sign?

The Horse years are 1954, 1966, 1978, 1990, 2002, 2014 and 2026.

But the zodiac year begins at Chinese New Year, not on 1 January. A birthday in January or the first half of February usually belongs to the animal before — born in early February 2026, you are a Snake. The box on the product page does that sum for you.

Carried as a mark of when you started. Some people feel something when they put one on. Some don't. Either way it is an old idea, accurately made. We make no medical or health claims.
